What Most Pet Food Really Is

I feel sorry for people who own dogs or cats. They are being tricked into feeding their pets garbage.

Yes, 99.9% of the pet food we are feeding our animals is total crap.

I was talking to the owner of a local pet store in San Rafael who just became one of my company's client a month ago and the things he was revealing to me was out of this world.

Little by little as I get older I am learning just how cruel and heartless most corporations in this country are.  They have no conscious and will do just about anything they legally can to make a profit.  There are thousands of "Enron-type" mentalities out there and today I found out that these kinds of people dominate the pet food industry.

How are these people able to get away with this and not be locked up?

Oh, if you go by all the commercials you would assume that quality meat, grain, and minerals go into your dog or cat's food they consume everyday.

Yeah, right!

Here is a short list of what the pet food you but at your local supermarket contains:

• Cow Brains
• Sheep Guts
• Chicken Heads
• Animal Tongues
• Chicken Feet
• Animal Intestines that May Contain Fecal Matter
  
• Grain That Humans Cannot Eat
• Corn Husks

This is what you are feeding your dog or cat, whom you love so much, everyday.

You are putting slop into their bowls and they are consuming this garbage for breakfast, lunch, and diner.

I am surprised the whole pet food industry has not been sued!  These people are deceiving millions and people and making billions of dollars every year doing it.

And here is the other surprise. 

There are very few companies that just make pet food.  They were gobbled up by larger conglomerates years ago.

The companies who are responsible for this debauched food we feed our animals are Nestlé, Del Monte, Masterfoods, Proctor and Gamble, and Colgate.

Surprise!

The exact same corporations who we buy everyday products and our own food from are poisoning our household pets.

I wonder to myself.

If these companies could feed us crap, and it was perfectly legal, would they?

Would these household names who have been around for decades, some even centuries, feed us substandard food if they could make an extra million dollars every year.

Oh course they would!

Anything for their beloved shareholders.

They owe it to them.  Just as long as THEY do not have to eat it. 

You can also be sure that the people who run these companies do not feed the pet food that they make to their own pets.

Many veterinarians have known this for years.  Accross the country many health professionals in the animals industry have warned pet owners about the long term health problems commercial pet food causes.

By the looks of it their advice is being ignored by most.

Do you think pets are going to live the best lives they possibly can if they are eating processed food derived of undesirable animal carcasses and poor quality grains or cornmeal.

It is no wonder why some dogs or cats are constantly ill or lack energy after a certain age.  Their bodies just cannot take it any longer.

There is not whole ingredients being put into their food.  It seems that everything they are eating on a daily basis has been deemed unfit for human consumption.

We all envision that we are feeding our pets good food with good ingredients by we are not. 

The whole population is being misled by false advertisements. 

There are specialty pet stores that in every city that stocks nothing but raw and organic pet food.

You need to search out these stores and buy all of your pet's food from there.

Do not go to your local grocery store to get it!

These places are quick, accessible, and cheap. But, they are not healthy for your animal.

Our client who we do work for owns a store that specializes in pet food San Rafael and its surrounding areas. Find stores like these in your particular area. If a small town like San Rafael, with a population less than 60,000 people, has an organic pet store than I would imagine most larger cities do.

You just have to take them time and look for them. Like organic stores for humans I am sure the items at these stores will cost a little more. Deal with it.

In our modern society good health is expensive. You now have to pay more to eat real food, be in shape, drink clean water, and live in places with no smog. The same is true of your pets.
